"...is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
"...blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs."

For 15 years now, people all over the world have been blogging. It may not have been on Blogger. It may not have even been on any popular website dedicated to bloggers and their ramblings. Point being - it's out there and the last time I checked there were no rules.
Many of you probably don't realize, as I didn't, that the modern blog actually dates back to 1994. Those folks used a sort of online diary or personal websites to keep a daily log, personal observations or rantings, etc. It wasn't until around 10 years later that we would begin to see sites like these, dedicated to blogging. And here I sit.
Recently, Jeff stumbled upon a blog entry by a former colleague of his. Many of you know him. Many of you don't. (Either way - this is my rant.) To continue on with the rest of my blog, you'll want to take note of the two following links, in order.
If there is anything I've learned in the past year or so, it's that you can't hold people accountable. People will be people. People who do not want to be held accountable won't be. We as a people, as humans and as a society want justice. We want people to pay for their wrongdoings. We want them to be accountable. BUT, it isn't our job to hold them accountable - it's God's, and He will.
It seems the responder wants the writer in Entry 1 to be accountable. Why? Because the writer in Entry 1 wants someone else to be accountable. You see the vicious cycle.
I will repeat myself: For 15 years now, people all over the world have been blogging. It may not have been on Blogger. It may not have even been on any popular website dedicated to bloggers and their ramblings. Point being - it's out there and the last time I checked there were no rules.
If the blogosphere is going to continue to be a place where we can express our thoughts and opinions regardless of anyone else's opinon about them, we cannot (and should not) waste our time trying to hold them accountable or convince others that they are wrong. Seeing as how anonymous followed the food chain of power in order to make his issues known and obviously had the door slammed in his face, it is only right that he be allowed to publicly express his thoughts. Ask the employee who has expressed his opinion in the "biblical manner" and has then been suspended from his job; ask the person who makes a few flip statements about an institution that he is a part of and then finds himself looking for a new place in life - tell me again that you think "going public" is always the best thing as opposed to just getting something off your chest.
