Hawaii....Day 2

I guess technically it's Day 3...but I don't count the official Day 1 since I spent a good portion of it traveling.

We started the morning out by packing the car. We shopped a little, ate lunch at the Poipu Broiler and then made a stop at Wal-Mart (yes, they even have Wal-Mart on remote islands in Hawaii). Then we headed north to the Hanalei Bay Resort and checked into our condo. The view is AWESOME to say the least.

I think I'll be able to handle this for another week :)

Aloha!

I flew in yesterday to Hawaii, around 2:30 in the afternoon (8:30 in the evening for those of you at home). The picture above is the island of Oahu, where you'll find Honolulu. The picture below is the island of Kauai, where I will be staying for the week. It is the island just west of Oahu. They call it "The Garden Isle" because it is the most tropical and the least commercialized.

After 12 hours of flying and a 6 hour time difference from home, I am still adjusting from jet lag. My day consisted of laying by the pool and scuba lessons with dad in the afternoon. I'm a little indifferent about that...haven't decided if I'll be putting them to use this week.

Tomorrow we'll be moving to the north shore of the island where we'll be staying at a condo in Princeville on Hanalei Bay (you know, Puff the Magic Dragon....). It has an awesome view and very cool rooms.

More tomorrow...

September Bunco

Tonight was September Bunco at my house. We were low in numbers but had lots of fun anyway. Torrential rains the evening before caused a few problems and a Jack's slumber party kept Heather out as well. Kim, Becky and Annie all suffered from flooding problems.

For dinner we had Olive Garden salad and breadsticks with alfredo sauce, Papa Murphy's Pizza and Chocolate Caramel Nut Cheesecake by Adam Matthews. We laughed at a few videos online, including the one below...my new favorite. The video is for the song "Here it Goes" by the OK Gos. Never heard of them...but the video is hilarious!

More importantly than that, though, it was baby Audrey's first bunco! She had a blast with the girls, especially dancing with me to Fergie's "London Bridge."

Can't wait until next month!

Two Years

Last night we had our two year anniversary party for the salon at Saint's Skybar. There were lots of people and we had a great time so I thought I'd post a few pictures.

Me and Little Katie posed for a photo op...they almost made her leave, but Keri pulled connections and she was able to stay...and we were so glad :)

The 3 Brandy's: Brandy #2 (middle) was leaving the party to go to a pirate party...which explain her red-striped shirt. Brandy #3 (left) later modeled her eye patch.

As always, B May and I posing for a picture. We like cameras :)
